How to Ensure a Great Fit

Firstly, it's important to debunk the myth that "true to size" exists in footwear. Shoe sizing is not standardized because manufacturers use different shoe lasts—the solid forms around which shoes are molded. This means that the fit of a shoe varies significantly depending on the shape and volume of the last, which can differ by brand, model, and even by the intended gender and age group of the wearer. It's not unusual to find variations in size and width among shoes from the same manufacturer.

Choosing the right size for the Run 619 insole might seem daunting, but it's quite straightforward. To find the most accurate fit, measure the length of your current insole from heel to toe. Compare this measurement with our sizing chart and select an insole that matches or is slightly longer—never shorter, as our insoles can be trimmed to fit if needed. If you don’t have an insole to measure, measure your foot from heel to your longest toe. Be sure to add extra length to accommodate the space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe, which should be about the width of your thumb for a proper fit.

Width is another important factor. Our sizing chart includes width options because we offer both regular and wide insoles. Measure the width of your insole at the widest part of the forefoot and use this measurement to find the right width from our sizing chart.
